Delivery details
We aim to deliver your furniture within 8 weeks of your order. Many orders will arrive considerably quicker. We will arrange a mutually convenient time with you before delivery.
Please let us know if access to your property is restricted, as some items cannot be dismantled.
For orders placed online all prices are inclusive of shipping and handling. We pay all delivery charges (mainland UK only) for you. If your delivery is not within the UK mainland, please contact us for a quote. If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Teak aftercare instructions
Teak furniture from Kit Stone leaves our premises polished but untreated.
Teak is considered by the Timber Research and Development Association as 'Very Durable', the highest classification possible. Our timber, being slightly darker than
most, is incredibly high in natural oils thus repelling the detrimental effects of the weather and requiring little maintenance. Dependant on personal taste, a prompt decision will need to be made regarding whether or not to treat the timber with any kind of wood finish.
Leaving the furniture untreated
This is the maintenance free approach that we advocate. If left untreated, the furniture will gradually turn an elegant silver grey colour so evocative of the best English gardens. As the very surface layer oxidises on exposure to the elements it will become less smooth and small cracks may appear, especially on the end grain. These are perfectly normal characteristics and will not affect the strength or long-term durability of the furniture. In hot, dry and sunny conditions, some cracks may appear larger, but these will normally reduce in cooler and wetter conditions.
